Economic rehabilitation of women headed households

The project undoubtedly has generated cash income for a significant number of women who were facing economic hardships. Although the compensation was provided by the government adequately, 

Increased entrepreneurial ability among the women

The exposure training, and interactions with outsiders, in the livelihood center, have inculcated an entrepreneurial attitude among the women.

Our Activities

Spinning

In spinning (yarn production) a total of 165 beneficiaries are engaged which is from village Toshi (21), Triyuginarayan (27), Badasu (28), Kunjethi (26), Dewali(23), Bhanigram(20), and lamgoundi 25.

Weaving (handloom)

Mandakini has created a weaving facility at three different locations -Lamgoundi (20), Dewali 20, and Triyuginarayan (12) and had recruited a total of 52 weavers. 

Carpet Weaving

MMBS has started carpet weaving at Lamgaundi and now 8 women are engaged in carpet weaving. Carpet weaving will help utilize local sheep wool spun on taklis.

Packaging and labeling

MMBS developed a brand Mandakini Pahadi Masala which is Turmeric,
Ginger, Coriander, Tulsi Tea,
